About Me.

My educational journey has been anything but traditional. After earning degrees in Biology and Languages and Linguistics, I found my true passion in teaching. For eight years, I taught science to an incredibly diverse group of students and learned to tailor my methods to meet the unique needs of each student. For three years, I was a science content specialist for Deming Public Schools where I gained valuable leadership exposure working alongside leaders and teachers to assist them in polishing the best tools in their arsenal to enable students to maximize their potential. Next, I thought second grade in a self-contained all-english classroom for a year. This last experience taught me many valuable lessons about teaching elementary-aged children. Through it all, I was privileged to complete WNMU's education leadership program in order to take on a greater role in improving education for all students.
